STOP
THE ISRAELI BOMBING & MASSACRES
AGAINST THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE
Americans,
Palestinians, Muslims, Christians, Arabs, and others in Houston, North America
and worldwide are shocked,
outraged, and deeply saddened by the Israeli bombing of the occupied Palestinian
territories, and the brutal massacre that is taking place against innocent
Palestinian civilians.
This latest massacre is only one in a series of crimes against the Palestinian
people. Under Israeli occupation, Palestinian basic human and national rights
continue to be violated at every level. Israel ignores all international norms,
values and conventions in its treatment of the Palestinian people.
We strongly condemn the repressive policy of the Israeli government that
encourages its soldiers and settlers to slaughter Palestinian civilians, and we
reaffirm our stand that calls for justice and peace in the Middle East based on
international laws and UN resolutions.
We demand:
- Immediate stop to the Israeli bombing in the occupied
Palestinian territories, and an immediate stop to the killing of the
Palestinian children, men and women.
- Enforcement of the recent Security Council Resolution
1233 which calls upon the Israeli forces to stop the violence against the
Palestinian people immediately.
- Immediate and firm intervention by the sponsors of the
peace process, especially the United States government, the Russian
government, the European community, permanent members of the security
council, Arab and Islamic countries, and all members of the family of
nations to bring an end to the criminal acts committed against the
Palestinian people by the Israeli soldiers and settlers.
- The creation of an international committee to
investigate the criminal acts and bring to international justice those
Israeli soldiers and settlers who ordered and participated in the massacre.
- Stop all U.S. aid to Israel, which is used to finance
the Israeli military machine that is killing Palestinians.
- An
end to the Israeli occupation, and the implementation of all UN resolutions
relevant to the Palestinian cause, especially 194, 242 and 338.
