Hundreds of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon donated blood for the American victims
Ein Elhelwe Refugee Camp - Southern Lebanon, September 15, 2001 (WAFA) Hundreds of Palestinian refugees in "Ein Elhelwe" Refugee Camp in southern Lebanon complied with President Arafat's appeal to donate blood for the American people sympathizing with the WTC and the Pentagon's victims of the terror attack.
Refugees from all the Lebanese southern camps gathered in "Ein Elhelwe" and "Mieh Mieh" and queued for hours in order to donate blood for the American victims.
Dr. Belal Refaei said that they have gathered a substantial quantity of blood units, “we will open the donation centers for another few days” he added.
He said that we are shipping the blood as soon as possible.
Mr. Housain Shehada one of the donors, said that we fight with our blood for freedom and independence, this blood we are donating for the innocent civilians in the USA, with whom we share the pain.
