Legislative Council sends condolences to Congress

President of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Mr. Ahmed Qurei', sent an urgent message of condolences to Mr. J. Dennis Hasterd, Speaker of the House of Representatives. Mr. Qurei' and members of the Palestinian Legislative Council expressed their deep shock for the terrorist attack in New York and Washington DC and for the catastrophe that has befell the American nation.
The message included condolences to members of the American Congress, families of the victims, and the American government. In addition, it reassured the Palestinian Legislative Council Members' condemnation of all terrorist acts that victimize innocent civilians.
The President of the Legislative Council hoped that the world would stand united and firm against terrorism and oppression to achieve just and permanent peace.
